Democratic U.S. administration wants to pass a Universal Health Plan. In the U.S. there are 46 million uninsured. The quality indicators, life expectancy and infant mortality in this country get behind many others with less resources. Meanwhile, the hard and dominant wing of the Republican Party, supported by economic interest groups have declared total war on Health Plan. Obama is a war orchestrated by organizations like the Heritage Foundation that dictate what the stars say conservative radio and TV.
In this program we analyze the logic of each of the parties in dispute and the motivations of each side. Although the difference is clear. On one side is a group willing to sacrifice so that everyone gets benefits and the other a group that already has benefits, but not willing to give up anything that others have. Sad but true.
On April 15 more than half a million Americans took to the streets to express their discontent with the political direction the new administration initiated by Obama. The festivities of Tea (Tea Parties) refer to the Boston Tea Party in 1773, one of the triggers episodes of the War of Independence of the United States. The governor of Texas, Republican Rick Perry, led the largest concentration of its state. After the event, in clear reference to the Obama administration, Gov. Perry came to mention the secession of Texas as a future risk to the federal government's increasing interference in state affairs.
The protesters accused the new president to cement the destruction of the country in economic, socio-political and spiritual. These events have had wide coverage in the U.S., mainly by television and radio on the Fox and its affiliates who have been the main promoters of the protests. Interestingly, international media have barely covered the subject. There was weekly online and here we experience them.
