In today's program we contacted via telephone with one of the most restless minds and prolific that Spain has in recent times. Alberto Vázquez-Figueroa.

The Integrated Energy Vázquez-Figueroa produces electricity and water, two of the primary needs of mankind.

A mountain of more than 600 feet high next to a water body are the requirements to run the system. It consists (see figure) to raise water to the top of the mountain where it is stored in tanks. The water drops through wells and activates turbines which produce energy. If the water is salty, a part of this was desalted by a filtering process based on reverse osmosis to make it potable, irrigation or industrial purposes.

A genius of the system is that it takes to operate energy sources that are often missed:

• Renewables that we know as wind or solar.
• The energy of convection of heated air that rises through a chimney through the natural warming of the engine and move another turbine system.
• The wasted on the Power Grid at night, which is used to raise the water at these times (night demand is less than the daytime. Stations including nuclear energy produced continuously).

Alberto Vázquez-Figueroa explains the features of the project and start us on the issue of energy transformation and optimization.
